Hello!
I have a friend whose last name is Quinn. She told
me that the people who share her last name, spelled
with two "n"s, tend to be Roman Catholic, or of R.C.
background. Meanwhile those who spell it with only
one "n" tend to be of protestant faith.
She also said that this is what she had always heard,
but wasn't sure if it was true. All the Quinns she
knows happen to be of R.C. background, but she doesn't
know any Quins.
I was wondering if there was anyone out there who knows
whether this is true or not, or if there are any
Quin(n)s out there who can enlighten me further.
Thank you in advance,
Denise Angeloni.
P.S. You can e-mail me or post, I have no preference.
That's what I've always heard about the Quin(n) name. My fathers side is Catholic.

Denise's "thank you in advance" turned out to be twenty years in
advance...if that's not a record, it's certainly a valiant attempt....

Some of the Quinns I know spell it Nguyen....r

Ed Rice will be along in a decade or two to follow up.
